Assigned with the task of creating an IoT product for Millennials focused on “Well-Being.”
The project explored how technology could enhance both the physical and mental aspects of wellness, with a focus on digital, at-home fitness as a growing opportunity area.

Objective

Design an IoT-based system that makes home workouts motivating, safe, and socially engaging, leveraging emerging digital and gamified experiences.

Research Insights

72% of home exercisers struggle with motivation when working out alone.

82% of digital fitness users have experienced incorrect form leading to incidents or injuries.

85% of gym members now also do workouts at home, increasing demand for digital fitness solutions.

Opportunity

Create flexible and convenient workout experiences for people with irregular schedules.

Solution — “Level UP” Exergame System

Level UP transforms home workouts into an immersive, gamified experience through motion tracking and real-time feedback.

Uses an IoT form and figure tracking system that detects movement and gives instant visual and audio cues via the device’s animated “eyes.”

Users create a personalized avatar to represent their fitness journey, visualize progress, and celebrate milestones.

The app encourages community engagement, allowing users to connect and compete with friends who share similar fitness goals.

The system can be controlled through hand gestures or via the mobile app as a remote controller.

Result

A conceptual IoT fitness solution that merges exercise, play, and social connection, promoting motivation, safety, and well-being through gamified interaction and real-time body tracking.
